Compare Financing Options

GoodLeap financing loans are only available through partnered contractors — you cannot apply directly on the GoodLeap website for solar or home improvement loans. If you are weighing a GoodLeap offer or looking for an alternative, use the form below to see personal loan and installment loan options from licensed US lenders.

What this form does

  • Connects you with a network of licensed personal loan and installment loan lenders in the US
  • Does not submit a GoodLeap loan application. GoodLeap applications must be initiated through a solar installer, HVAC contractor, roofer, window company, or other home improvement partner.
  • Does not guarantee an offer. Lender approval depends on your credit profile, income, state of residence, and the lender's underwriting criteria.
  • Does not perform a hard credit pull at this stage. Some participating lenders may perform a soft credit check to generate a prequalified offer.

Not all states supported

The lenders in this network do not currently serve New York, Vermont, West Virginia, or Arkansas. If you reside in one of those states, consider contacting a GoodLeap-partnered contractor directly, or applying with a local credit union or bank that offers home improvement loans.

Compare Lending Options

Compare personal loan and installment loan alternatives from licensed US lenders. Rates and terms vary by lender and your qualification profile. Submitting the form does not guarantee an offer.

Before you submit

If you are specifically shopping for solar or home improvement financing, understand that these alternative lenders typically offer unsecured personal loans and installment loans — not point-of-sale solar financing. The APR, loan amount, and term will differ from a GoodLeap solar loan. A personal loan may actually be the better option for a smaller home improvement project (under 15,000 dollars) because there is no dealer fee rolled into the financed amount.

What happens after you submit

  1. Your information is shared with lenders in the network who serve your state and loan amount range
  2. Lenders may send prequalified offers or direct you to their application page
  3. Review each offer carefully: APR, total of payments, fees, and the fine print on prepayment and late charges
  4. Only accept an offer you have read in full and understand
  5. If you proceed, the lender will perform a hard credit pull before final approval
