1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to goodleapfinancingloans.com (the “Site”), an independent editorial review platform that publishes content about GoodLeap, LLC solar loans, home improvement financing, and mortgage products. In this Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the editorial team operating this Site; “you” refers to any individual who visits, reads, or interacts with the Site.

Important clarification. We are not GoodLeap, LLC. This Policy governs only data practices on goodleapfinancingloans.com. If you have questions about how GoodLeap, LLC handles your personal information in connection with originating or servicing a GoodLeap loan, you must contact GoodLeap directly or consult the privacy policy posted on goodleap.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you interact with features on the Site, including:

  • Lending application form data. When you submit the Apply form, you provide information to a third-party advertising partner network. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, state of residence, approximate loan amount, credit score range, employment status, and income range. This data is transmitted directly to the lender partner network; we do not store it in our own systems.
  • Contact form submissions. If you contact us through the Contact page or any email link, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Comments or feedback. Any voluntary feedback you provide becomes part of our records for the purpose of responding to or acting on that feedback.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through your browser or device, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (city, region, country)
  • Browser type, version, and language settings
  • Operating system and device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Pages viewed, time spent on each page, and navigation path through the Site
  • Referring URL (the website or search engine that brought you here)
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Interactions with embedded forms and widgets

2.3 Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive aggregated or anonymized information from third-party analytics providers, advertising networks, and public data sources (such as the CFPB complaint database or NMLS Consumer Access). This information is used solely for editorial research purposes and is not combined with information that identifies you individually.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Operating the Site. To maintain, improve, and secure the Site and its underlying infrastructure.
  • Analytics and performance measurement. To understand which editorial content is most useful to visitors and to identify technical issues.
  • Responding to inquiries. To reply to questions, feedback, or correction requests you submit through our Contact page.
  • Facilitating lender comparison. To transmit lending application form data to the advertising partner network you have voluntarily chosen to apply with.
  • Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or governmental requests.
  • Fraud prevention. To detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, or abuse of the Site.

We do not use the information we collect to build detailed advertising profiles about individual visitors, and we do not sell personal information to data brokers.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (web beacons, pixel tags, local storage) to operate the Site and understand how visitors use our editorial content. We use the following categories of cookies:

Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the Site to function, including session management and security. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies

Third-party form cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Blocking some cookies may impair your experience on the Site.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal (GPC) sent by compliant browsers as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under California law.

5. Third-Party Services

The Site uses the following third-party services. Each service collects and processes data under its own privacy policy, which you should review:

  • Statcounter. Visitor statistics and session analytics. Statcounter Privacy Policy.
  • APIdiamond. Third-party form embed used for the Apply flow. APIdiamond is operated by our advertising partner and transmits form submissions to its lender network.
  • Google Fonts. Delivers the Fraunces and Inter typefaces used on the Site. Google Fonts does not use cookies but may log IP addresses as part of standard web server operations.
  • Cloudflare (if applicable). Content delivery network and security filtering.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who perform functions on our behalf (analytics, hosting, content delivery) and who are contractually bound to use the information solely to provide services to us.
  • With advertising partner networks that process the Apply form, but only when you voluntarily submit the form. The partner network and its lender members become independent data controllers of that information after submission.
  • For legal reasons when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our team, our visitors, or others.
  • In connection with a business transfer such as a sale, merger, or restructuring, in which case any new operator will be bound by this Policy or will provide equivalent protections.

We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. We do not share personal information with social media platforms for targeted advertising purposes.

7. Lead Generation Partners

The Apply form is powered by APIdiamond and routes your submission to a network of licensed US lender partners. When you submit the form:

  • Your information is transmitted to one or more lender partners whose products match the criteria you entered.
  • Participating lender partners may contact you by phone, email, or text message about loan options.
  • Each lender partner becomes an independent data controller of your information and will handle it under its own privacy policy.
  • Submission does not guarantee an offer and does not constitute an application with GoodLeap, LLC. We do not originate loans.

Opt-out of marketing contact. If you no longer wish to be contacted by a lender partner, you must contact that lender directly to opt out. We cannot opt you out of communications from third parties who have independently received your information.
